Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain an electrolytic solution capable of sufficiently increasing spark generating voltage by also dissolving a solute such as maleic acid, adipic acid, etc., into an organic solvent such as glycol ethers and dissolving polyethylene oxide into the organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:One kind or more are selected from glycol ethers such as ethylene glycol monomethyl ethers, ethers such as ethylene glycol monomethyl ether acetates, acid amides such as N.N'-dimethylformamides and cyclic esters such as gamma-butylolactones as an organic solvent. One kind of carboxylic acids such as maleic acid, adipic acid, azelaic acid, etc., or salt thereof, aromatic carboxylic acids such as benzoic acid, salicylic acid, phthalic acid, etc., or salt thereof or an inorganic acid such as boric acid or salt thereof is selected as a solute. Polyethylene oxide is further melted into the solvent and the solute. Accordingly, an electrolytic solution capable of sufficiently increasing spark generating voltage is acquired.
