Summary: | PURPOSE:To attain detection of the receiving state of other stations during reception without unpleasant audible sense by interrupting periodically the reception of a frequency under reception for a short time, locking the received frequency in a short time and attenuating the audio output. CONSTITUTION:A controller 14 supplies a pulse signal (a) of a short pulse width T1 to a muting circuit 6 for each period T2 during the reception of a station A. Simultaneously, the controller 14 uses a control signal (b) and a loop band switching signal (c) to allow a reception means to receive a broadcast radio wave of other station B. The signal (c) turns on an analog switch 16 for a loop filter 12 to decrease the time constant of the loop filter. Then, the locking of a PL1 comprising a phase detector 11, the loop filter 12, a voltage controlled oscillator 9 and a frequency divider 10 is quickened and the reception means receives the station B in place of the station A. The reception level is detected by a reception state signal detector 15. The reception level is compared with a reception level of the station A stored in the memory. The controller 14 controls the reception means so as to receive a station having a higher reception level through the comparison. |
