Summary: | PURPOSE:To set a specific action mode based on frequency-divided signals and to further set varying action modes smoothly, precisely and speedily by frequency-dividing signals from a rotary encoder at a frequency dividing rate in response to two or more types of action modes selected by a mode selecting means. CONSTITUTION:Each action mode currently set is displayed on the display part 31 of the console panel 30 of a copying machine, and the rotary encoder 35 generates signals in response to its two rotational directions and angles. The signals from the encoder 35 are inputted to a microprocessor CPU 41 processing an encoder pulse interrupting processing means 46, and a desired action mode is set through select keys 36a-36e. According to the action mode selected by a frequency dividing processing means 47, the signals from the encoder 35 are frequency-divided, and a desired action mode is set smoothly, precisely and speedily based on said signals. |
