Summary:PURPOSE: To provide a headlamp with far visibility by making the reflector of a type 2 low-beam lamp a movable one, and providing an optical axis adjusting mechanism displacing the optical axis of the low beam of the type 2 lamp at the time of simultaneous lighting upward by 1 deg.-4 deg. than at the time of independent lighting. CONSTITUTION: A type 1 high-beam lamp and a type 2 low-beam lamp are arranged in a housing 1 so that the type 2 lamp is located on the outside, and a lens 2 is fitted in the front. The reflector 7 of the type 2 lamp is made movable, a movable rod 12 is connected to the spherical body 11 of its fulcrum section 10, and an optical axis adjusting mechanism moving the movable rod 12 in the longitudinal direction by the required size via a solenoid 13 is provided. Only the type 2 lamp is lighted when passing by, and both lamps are lighted when a switch action is taken to obtain the normal high beam after passing by. The rod 12 is moved forward at this time, the reflector 7 is inclined upward by 1 deg.-4 deg. than at the time of the low beam, the radiated light beam at the vehicle short range is moved afar, the brightness of a short range section is reduced to become not excessively bright, and the far visibility is made very good.
