Summary:PURPOSE:To develop an erosion shield alloy having excellent erosion resistance by blending TiC powders and other specific metallic powders to Fe powders, press molding said powders under high pressure and thereafter sintering the same. CONSTITUTION:The mixed powders (produced by an Ar atomizing method and formed by adding the powders having about 20mum grain size consisting of, by weight, 15.0-55.0% TiC powders, 3.0-25.0% Cr powders, 5.0-13.0% Co powders, 1.0-9.0% Ni powders, 1.0-9.0% Mo powders, 0.1-3.0% Al powders, 0.1-3.0% Ti powders and 0.01-1.50% Cu powders, or furthermore adding 1.0-9.0% TaC powers or 0.3-4.0% C powders and consisting of the balance Fe powders) are press molded under 2-10ton/cm pressure. Said green compact is sintered at 1,100-1,550 deg.C, by which the erosion shield alloy having 800-1,200Hv hardness and having excellent erosion resistance is produced.
