Summary: | PURPOSE:A surface treatment for preventing organisms living in water from attaching themselves to structure in water without using substances of environmental pollution such as organotin compound, etc., containing an emulsion of acrylic polymer, a surface active agent of quaternary ammonium salt type and alumina sol in a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:The aimed surface treatment consisting of (A) 100pts.wt. calculated as polymer of an emulsion of acrylic polymer obtained by polymerizing (meth)acrylic acid and a monomer consisting of an ester thereof, (B) 0.1-80pts. wt., preferably 5-50pts.wt. surface active agent (e.g. cetyltrimethylammonium chloride, etc.) of quaternary ammonium salt type and (C) 0.1-30wt%, preferably 1-20wt% calculated as aluminum oxide based on total amounts of the polymer of the component A and the component B. |
