Summary:PURPOSE:To reduce the number of serial reactors by winding a ring coil in both end slots of a slot row formed on an armature core, and providing serial reactors for correcting an unbalanced current at a power source circuit of its coil set. CONSTITUTION:Serial reactors 13, 14 for correcting an unbalanced current are connected in series with a power source of phase coil sets 3, 4 having ring coils wound in end slots of phase coil sets of a ring coil type 3-phase 2-pole armature winding 10 made of phase coil sets 3-5 coupled in a star connection. As a result, since an armature has a limited length, the inductance of the ring coil wound in the end slots is smaller than that of other ring coil, an unbalanced current does not flow to the coil sets 3-5 of the winding 10 to eliminate the deformation and the decrease of the magnetic flux density of a moving magnetic field.
