Summary: | PURPOSE:To industrially advantageously produce the titled compound useful as a medicine, by reducing a double bond in 7 and 8 position of DELTA -prostaglandin E1 derivative with a metal-hydrogen complex compound and organotin halide. CONSTITUTION:A DELTA -prostaglandin E1 derivative expressed by formula I (R is H, alkyl, phenyl, cycloalkyl or phenylalkyl; R and R are protecting group of H or OH; R is H, methyl, ethyl, ethynyl or vinyl; R is hydrocarbon, phenyl, phenoxy, cycloalkyl, phenyl, etc.; A is methylene or O;B is single bond or methylene) is reduced with a metal-hydrogen complex compound (e.g. sodium borohydride, etc.) and organotin halide (e.g. tributyltin chloride, etc.) to provide a prostagrandin E1 derivative expressed by formula II. In above-mentioned production, a catalyst system readily available can be used and the aimed product can be produced in high yield. |
