Summary:PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of the finished product by previously providing a pattern by screen printing and a pattern by gravure printing on a transfer film to form a multicolored pattern exhibiting the characteristics of both printing methods. CONSTITUTION:An optional pattern 4 is screen-printed on the surface of a substrate film 6 by using ink with a thermoplastic resin releasable from the film 6 as the binder. An optional pattern layer 3 is gravure-printed on the whole surface of the film 6 by using ink with a thermoplastic resin releasable from the film 6 and adhesive to the pattern 4 and the substrate coated film 2 to be formed in the succeeding stage as the binder to form a transfer film 7. Besides, the substrate coated film layer 2 is formed on the surface of the steel sheet coil 1 applied with necessary pretreatment, the transfer film 7 is hot- pressed on the layer 2, and the pattern layer is transferred. A transparent resin 5 is coated on the surface of the steel sheet with the transferred pattern layer, and cured.
