CONSTITUTION:A breaker piece 2 to be attached to a clamp-on type throwaway cutting tool body 1 contains 0.5-5% of magnesium oxide, and the rest is constituted of alumina-based ceramics consisting of aluminum oxide. Or it contains 0.5-15% of more than one kind among oxides of magnesium oxide, yttrium oxide and rare earth metal, and furthermore it contains one or two kinds of 0.5-20% of aluminum oxide and 0.5-15% of aluminum nitride and the rest is constituted of silicon nitride-based ceramics consisting of silicon nitride. Or, it is constituted of partially stabilized zirconic-based ceramics on the market.
