Summary:PURPOSE:To enhance the reliability of a sub-processor and to perform a degeneration operation without deteriorating a processing speed at the time of an abnormality by executing a microprogram for the diagnosis of the sub-processor at the time of loading. CONSTITUTION:A basic part and a diagnosis part are loaded to a control memory 1 for a main processor PU from an external storage device 5 through an input and output bus 7. Then, when it is decided that the connection of the sub-processor PU4 is present, the diagnosis part and a control part for the sub-processor PU are loaded to a control memory 3 for the sub-processor PU from the device 5. At the time of the normal loading, the diagnosis of the sub- processor PU4 through the microprogram is carried out by the diagnosis part. When the abnormality is detected in this diagnosis result, the main PU control part is loaded to the memory 1 from the storage device 5.
