Summary:PURPOSE:To reduce the energy loss of heating furnace by setting charging order of steel material into a heating furnace, so as to smoothly arrange the aimed extracting temp. in charging order at the prescribed condition, in the possible range of order from narrow to wide widths by a roll shift mechanism. CONSTITUTION:In case of arranging the aimed extracting temp. as shown in the figure, at the position developing useless heating (oblique line zone), caused by large difference of temp., steel material absorbing the useless heating is charged as rolling material by the roll shift mechanism. That is, the aimed temp. difference between preceding material and the successively material in the other of charging into the heating furnace is in the prescribed range, and the aimed temp. for the steel material in this order is gradually increased or decreased. The steel material, which is out of the possible range of rolling from the narrow width to the wide width by the roll shift mechanism, is held off charging into the heating furnace. This data is stored in a held-off data memory means, and at the time of being out of the above prescribed condition, the steel material, which matches the data stored, in the above means in accordance with the prescribed inserting condition, is selected and is inserted in between the preceding material and the successive material.
