Summary:PURPOSE:To remove the mutual interference between an integrator and a phase compensating circuit even when the time constants of both the units are large, to increase servo gain and to improve responsibility by using a common servo loop for plural reflecting surfaces of a rotary polygon mirror to correct face inclination. CONSTITUTION:Clock pulses generated from a clock generator 21 connected to a counter are sent to a face inclination variable detector 5 consisting of a CCD line sensor to drive the detector 5 and an obtained detecting signal is compared with a reference level VS1 by a comparator 23. The compared signal indicating the face inclination variable is latched by a latch circuit 24 and the latched signal is compared with a reference level VS2 by a comparator 26 through a D/A converter 25. The compared output is sent to an amplifier 27 by selecting an integrating circuit 42 and a phase compensating circuit 43 through switch groups 41, 44 to drive a correcting mechanism driving device 11.
