Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition which provides a latent-heat storing agent undergoing little decrease in the storage of latent heat even after repeated melting and solidification, by incorporating an alkali metal salt of isostearic acid into Na2SO4.10H2O or its eutectic. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. Na2SO4.10H2O or eutectic thereof made by adding, e.g., NaCl, KCl or NH4Cl as a melting point modifier thereto is mixed with at least 0.1pt.wt. alkali metal salt of isostearic acid and, if necessary, a thickening agent (e.g., xanthane gum or CMC).
