Summary:PURPOSE:An apparatus, equipped with a heat-generating filter and sterilization filter and suitable for sterilization of a highly humid gas, e.g. an exhaust gas from a cultivation vessel for pathogens or genetic recombinants. vessel for pathogens or genetic recombinants. CONSTITUTION:A gas sterilization apparatus is constituted by equipping with a heat-generating filter 6 and heat-resistant sterilization filter 7 at a desired interval. The heat-generating filter 6 includes preferably a filter formed from an electrically conductive material generating heat by electric conduction. The operation temperature of the heat-generating filter 6 is preferably 150-200 deg.C. The sterilization filter 7 is required to resist the temperature.
