Summary:PURPOSE:To enable simple thermal transfer onto various forms of object surfaces to be transfer recorded, by supporting a thermal transfer ink sheet on one side of a rectangular frame so sized that it can be held by hand. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer ink sheet 16 comprising a base film 12 and an ink layer 14 is adhered to one side of a rectangular frame 10 which has flexure resistance and is formed from a paper or a plastic. In use of a thermal transfer ink card 18 with this construction, a thermal transfer device having a thermal head 20 exposed to the exterior is used, and transfer onto the surface of a desired transfer recording paper 22 is conducted. In this case, the ink card 18 is set with the ink layer side in contact with the surface of the transfer recording paper 22, and the thermal head 20 pressed against the base film side of the card 18 is moved, whereby desired thermal transfer data supplied from the thermal heat 20 can be easily transferred onto the surface of the paper 22.
