Summary:PURPOSE:To facilitate the control of temp. and humidity of air used at a place where high air conditioning is required by controlling the temp. of the outside air with an air conditioner and then dehumidifying the air with a porous membrane. CONSTITUTION:After air containing water vapor passes through a duct 1 and a prefilter 4, its temp. is brought in a fixed one with an air conditioner 5 and then the air flows into the primary side 6A of a membrane separator 6. When the secondary side 6B is reduced in pressure with a vacuum pump 10, only moisture permeates a separator 7 and water is discharged from a trap 8 through a pipe 9 for separate water. The dehumidified air is brought in desired temp. and humidity and discharged from an outlet duct 14. When the humidity of discharged air is lower than specified humidity, the separator 6 is stopped and the humidity is controlled by operating a humidifier 11. It is only necessary for a separation membrane 7 to have permeability to only water vapor selectively and a medium with a fine pore of 10Angstrom or more in pore diameter may properly be selected.
