Summary:PURPOSE:To enhance the reliability of a safety valve for battery by accommodating power generating elements with a frame made from plastics of polyolefin type and a metal plate with the same type resin at its one side, and furnishing the frame with a safety valve opening which has undergone flame processing. CONSTITUTION:An electrode is connected to a metal plate with synthetic resin of polyolefin type provided at its one side, and a battery is formed through fusion deposition of a frame of the same type synthetic resin, separator, opposite electrode, and resin laminated metal plate similar to the metal plate on the opposite side. A safety valve opening 3 is provided at frame 2 in connection to inside the battery through a small hole. Surroundings of the inner bottom of this opening 3 shall undergo flame processing 11. This processing part 11 is coated with silicone oil, and the opening 3 is blocked with a rubber sheet 13, cushion 14, and hold plate 15 so as to constitute safety valve. The processing part 11 prevents the silicone oil from dispersion to lead to enhancement of the reliability of safety valve.
