Summary:PURPOSE:To enable printing of an ink jet system to be easily attained, by a method wherein after forming a specific water absorbing layer by coating a surface of material by a treating solution of dispersing powdery high water absorbing resin uniformly by mixing in an organic binder, a specific water absorbing speed regulated layer is form by coating this surface with treating solution of mixing inorganic water absorbing filler uniforming in the organic binder. CONSTITUTION:A water absorbing layer of a printing material for ink jet is prepared by coating treating solution of dispersion by mixture of high water absorbing resin in an organic binder on a surface of a film formed printing material. Then, the printing material for ink jet is prepared by forming a water absorbing speed regulated second layer by coating treating solution of dispersion by mixing of inorganic water absorbing filler in the organic binder thereon. When a thickness of the water absorbing layer is not more than 5mum, a water absorbing capacity is small; when not less than 30mum the water absorbing capacity of the ink is too large, and its color turns faint. Therefore, a thickness of 5-30mum is required. Further, when a thickness of the second layer is not more than 5mum, the ink is absorbed in the water absorbing layer before a dot is not yet throughly spread, and the dot becomes small and the color turns to faint. When not less than 50mum, the dot spreads too large, and bleeding becomes too severe. Therefore a thickness of 5-50mum is required because of decreased resolution.
