PURPOSE:To execute dump gathering without stopping a pre-communication processor, by providing a dump information storage means, and a dump information transfer means which transfers information to a host computer system. CONSTITUTION:The dump information storage means 22 stores only a memory area whose memory content may possibly be changed while dump information is transferred to the host computer system 1 out of the memories in a pre- communication processor sub system 2 in a dump information storing area 24, and after that, starts up the dump transfer means 23 by restarting another communication control processing. The dump information transfer means 23 transfers the dump storing area 24 and a memory area not being stored in the dump information storing area 24 by the dump information storage means 22 to the host computer system 1 via a host communication control means 21. A dump gathering part 12 receiving the transfer of the dump information from the pre-communication processor sub system 2 stores the dump information once in a secondary storage medium, such as a magnetic disk, etc., and after that, edits and outputs the information to a printer, etc. In such a way, it is possible to perform the dump gathering without stopping the pre-communication processor 2.
