Summary:PURPOSE:To develop the titled material having small contact resistance while maintaining excellent welding resistance and consumption resistance by distributing Ag oxide grains in a network state into an Ag matrix. CONSTITUTION:The Ag oxide electrical contact material has the structure in which the Ag oxides dispersed with the grains of 11.7wt.% SnO2 having 0.01-5mum grain size are distributed in the network state by threading through the interface of Ag grains having 10-100mum grain size, and has 1:(1.05-5) ratio of the diameter of the Ag grains to the outer diameter of the Ag oxides covering the interface thereof.
