Summary: | PURPOSE:To obtain the title reactor appropriate for preventing the leakage of an untreated gas by gas-sealing the gaps between a catalyst supporting beam and a catalyst block and between the catalyst blocks by a metal touch. CONSTITUTION:Plural catalyst supporting members 23 are provided on the inside of a reaction casing 21, and an auxiliary catalyst supporting member 24 is welded between the supporting members 23 to form one frame (expressed W hereunder). Plural catalyst blocks 28 integrated with a catalyst bed 26 are placed on the frame W. A gap is formed between the catalyst bed 26 and an inner heat insulating material 30 to allow for the elongation due to heat, and sliding plates 25a and 25b are set between the catalyst bed 26 and the frame W. In addition to this constitution, a sealing material 27 is fixed between the catalyst bed 26 and the catalyst block 28 and between the catalyst blocks, and the gaps are gas-sealed by a metal touch. As a result, exhaust gas (g) is limited to flow through the catalyst block 28 or through the outside of the frame W, and the leakage of the untreated gas can be prevented. |
