Summary:PURPOSE:To derive a coefficient of elongation with high accuracy and to accurately detect a shape defect by correcting the reference tension conversion value of a displacement output signal with one of measured tension values, i.e. a mean value, a maximum value, and a minimum value obtained from measured tension. CONSTITUTION:The tensile force which is the output of a tension value converting circuit 8 for converting the displacement signal from a detecting circuit 7 into the tensile force is inputted to a mean tension converting circuit 11 and converted into a reference tension conversion value of the mean, maximum, or minimum value. A correction function arithmetic circuit 13 computes a correction function with the reference tension conversion value and the measured tension value among the mean value obtained by a mean tension arithmetic circuit 12, maximum value, and minimum value. An elongation rate correcting circuit 15 corrects the coefficient of elongation computed by an elongation coefficient arithmetic circuit 14 with the correction function.
