Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain an oxide superconductor of a layer-shaped perovskite type or the like with a high critical temperature by flame-coating a raw material containing an oxide superconductor component element on the surface of a filament or tube-shaped substrate having a Cu oxide layer on its surface then heat-treating it in the oxidizing atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:A raw material containing an oxide superconductor component element (Y, La, Sc, Sr, Ba, Ca, etc.,) is flame-coated on the surface of a filament or tube-shaped substrate made of Cu or the like formed with a Cu oxide layer on its surface, then it is heat-treated in the oxidizing atmosphere. This substrate may be used as far as its shape is a filament or a tube, and copper or copper alloy is used as the material. The adhesion of the oxide superconductor component element to be flame-coated next is improved if the Cu oxide layer is coated, particularly flame-coated, preferably flame-coated by plasma. A superconductive wire using a compound superconductor is thereby obtained.
