Summary:PURPOSE:To enable a stable supply by a conventional feeder by covering the surface of ferrite particles with a silane coupling agent and polyvinyl pyrrolidone, and thereafter blending them into a thermoplastic resin, thereby significantly reducing the adhesion among the particles. CONSTITUTION:After covering the surface of ferrite particles with a silane coupling agent and polyvinyl pyrrolidone, they are blended into a thermoplastic resin. The ferrite particles are the particles of a metal compound represented by a general chemical formula Fe2O3MO (M is a bivalent metal). The silane coupling agent is a compound which is typically expressed by a formula X- Si(OR)8, where X represents a functional group which reacts with organic materials, and which includes, for instance, an amino group, a vinyl group, an epoxy group, a mercapt group, chloro-group and the like. Polyvinyl pyrrolidone is obtained by polymerizing N-vinyl-2-pirrolidone, and typically that of a molecular weight of the order of 10,000-400,000 is used. With this, the adhesion is substantially reduced, whereby an ordinarily used feeder, for instance, a weight feeder, coil feeder or screw feeder can be employed.
