PURPOSE:To eliminate an error frame from a transmission line by discriminating its own node address from a value being the addition of 1 to a value of a counter field in a frame and a value of an opposite destination address field in each node. CONSTITUTION:The number of nodes is set to the opposite destination address field 6 in a frame passing till a destination node in each node and a counter field 7 is set initially. Each node uses an adder circuit 2 at the frame reception to add to a value set to the field 7 by '1' and the result is compared with the value of a field 6 at a comparator circuit 3. When the both are concident, the result is fetched as its own node frame and when the frame is smaller, the result is sent to the next node. In such a case, when the value being added with '1' to a value set to the field 7 is larger, the frame is excluded as a faulty frame.
