PURPOSE:To obtain the captioned guide rail connected with a buffer body in a stable manner, not requiring hands, by a method wherein a post-processing machine wherein an extruder for elastic buffer material is combined with a cross die for joining the material to the rail material is provided in the process of transfer of the long guide rail material. CONSTITUTION:In the process of transfer of the long guide rail material 13 formed into a prescribed shape, the post-processing machine wherein the cross die 14 is combined with the extruder 15 formed in continuation with the die and by the side thereof is provided to join the elastic buffer material 26 continuously and automatically to the desired places of the rail material 13. In the die 14 are made a directly-communicated passage 14a through which the rail material 13 is transferred and a discharging passage 14b for melted plastics opened in the perpendicular direction in the middle of the passage 14a, being branched to a forked nozzle 14c, and the inside hole of a sleeve 22 forming the lateral end of the discharging passage 14b is communicated with the discharging passage 15a of the extruder 15 through the intermediary of a breaker plate 23 and a screen 24.
