Summary:PURPOSE:To permit an optional amount of surface water to be taken by connecting gates other than the lowest stage with a lifting beam in such a way as to enable them to move vertically. CONSTITUTION:A hoist to lift up the gate 24 of lowest stage with the upper gate and a vertically movable lifting beam to be lifted up by the other hoist are provided. An attachment to be freely switched to the case when a desired gate is coupled and raised by the vertical operation of the beam 25 and the case when the beam 25 is separated from the gate is provided for the face where the beam 25 side of the gate other than the lowest stage is confronted with the gate of the beam 25. Any amount of surface water can thus be taken according to variation of water levels.
