Summary:PURPOSE:Not to impose excessive load on an engine, by adjacently arranging permanent magnets and coils under a contactless condition. CONSTITUTION:A piston 2 inside a cylinder block 1 is linked to a crankshaft 4 through a connecting rod 3. A rotor 7 is secured to the crankshaft 4. Multiple permanent magnets 8 are arranged at intervals on this rotor 7 along the circumferential line with the rotating shaft of the crankshaft 4 at its center. A stator 9 is composed of iron cores 10 and conductive coils 11 wound around the cores 10. When the permanent magnets 8 rotate with the rotating motion of the crankshaft 4, electromotive force is generated at both ends of the conductive coils 11.
