Summary: | PURPOSE:To prevent the blocking of the opening end of an air supplying means due to fused ash as well as the blocking of the inside of a furnace due to the cooling and adhesion of the fused ash, by a method wherein a pusher is moved into the transfer direction of incinerated ash based on various informations obtained by detecting the ambient temperature of the upstream or the downstream parts of the pusher continuously. CONSTITUTION:Incinerated ash, thrown into the upstream part 7a of a passage 7, is heated in the upstream part 7a and generates combustion heat generating reaction by the supply of air from an air supplying means 11 whereby remaining carbon in the incinerated ash is incinerated. At the same time, combustion heat generated promotes the fusion of incinerated ash after the combustion of the downstream part 7b. The temperature of combustion gas in the upstream part 7a, which is measured by a temperature detecting means 13, has arrived at the initial melting temperature of the incinerated ash for a predetermined period of time, a controller 14 operates a pusher 9 to transfer the incinerated ash in the upstream part 7a to the downstream part 7b. The incinerated ash, transferred to the downstream part 7b, is fused in the downstream part 7b. The incinerated ash, fused in the downstream part 7b, drops here and is solidified in a slag producing chamber. According to this method, the slag, whose volume is reduced, can be obtained without generating any environmental pollution. |
