Summary:PURPOSE:To remove the useless resending of a self-generating token frame by deciding the capability of normal token repeating in the case of receiving a token frame generated from a self equipment after the passage of a prescribed time. CONSTITUTION:When a data transmission request is not generated from a terminal equipment, each of data transmission control equipments 302-305 repeats a token frame on a loop transmission line 301 to a downstream-side transmission control equipment. After completing the sending operation of the token frame, each data transmission control equipment sets a deciding period >=(token frame word length-1) octets and decides whether the end flag of the token frame generated from the self-equipment is received within the period or not. When the end flag of the token frame is not received within the period, that the leading part of the token frame is not repeated to the downstream is decided and resending is executed.
