Summary:PURPOSE:To accurately reproduce an actual running test, by forming a front roller whose peripheral surface has large friction coefficient and a rear roller whose peripheral surface has low friction coefficient as biaxial type rollers rotating in synchronous relationship. CONSTITUTION:Each of front and rear wheel roller apparatuses 10A, 10B is formed of a front roller 14, whose peripheral surface has large friction coefficient, brought into contact with the front side of a tire and a rear soller 16, whose peripheral surface has low friction coefficient, brought into contact with the side of the tire and the rollers 14, 16 are formed as biaxial type rollers rotating in synchronous relationship. By this constitution, when the wt. of an automobile applied to the roller 14 through the tire, no slippage is generated between the tire and the roller 14 until driving force or braking force becomes large. When the wt. of the car is applied to the roller 16 through the tire, slip is generated even by small driving force or braking force. Therefore, an actual running test can be accurately reproduced.
