PURPOSE:To arrange in order paper sheets with a compact high speed mechanism by disposing a piezo-electric body on the base of a spring member for transmitting vibrations to an arranging member for vibrating the end face of paper sheets to apply voltage to said body from a voltage control section for resonance. CONSTITUTION:Paper sheets 6 sandwiched and transferred by transfer belts 8 are urged on the rear end by a brush wheel 7, guided by both arranging members 3 and abut against a fixed guide 5 to be stacked. And when DC voltage having a predetermined cycle and amplitude is applied to bimorph type piezo-electric bodies 1 attached to both sides of a shim 2 through an oscillator circuit and a voltage control section, arranging members 3 are resonated through the shim 2 of a spring member to vibrate and arrange in order the side faces of paper sheets 6. Then, depending upon the receiving and stacking condition of paper sheets 6 or the high or low degree of arranging the paper sheets due to paper quality of paper sheets 6 is changed voltage applied to the piezo-electric body 1. Also, to prevent the low degree of arrangement of paper sheets from buckling, voltage is changed at first from small level to large level, so that the paper sheets can be arranged in order rapidly with a compact mechanism.
