Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain an aerating device suitable for aerating a large amount of culture solution of animal cell, by bundling a great number of thin capillaries comprising a gas permeable material and attaching the end of the bundled capillaries to a header. CONSTITUTION:A great number of thin capillaries 21 comprising a gas permeable material are bundled to form an aerating member 15, one end of the aerating member 15 is attached through a flange 22 to an air introducing header 20 and the other is fixed through a flange 23 to an air exhausting header 24 to constitute an aerating device 10. A tube made of silicon resin is fittest as the material for the thin capillaries 21.
