Summary: | PURPOSE:To increase the torque of an ultrasonic driving device inexpensively by applying an AC electric field in the thicknesswise (radial) direction of a ringlike piezoelectric element and driving a driver by a surface displacement toward the central direction. CONSTITUTION:When an AC electric field is applied by an oscillator through electrodes 2, 3 in the thicknesswise direction of a ringlike piezoelectric element 1 made of piezoelectric ceramics, a surface displacement is moved as designated by an arrow from the outer periphery toward the inner periphery of the piezoelectric element 1. A contactor 7 is bonded to part of the element 1, and a rotational shaft 9 is composed as a driven unit 8 of disks protruded at both sides. The contactor 7 is brought into contact with the driven unit 8, and an AC electric field is applied to the element 1. As a result, the unit 8 can be driven. |
