Summary:PURPOSE:To efficiently cool a generator, by forming an air passage between a stator coil fitting base and an engine case in order to allow an air stream received by a running vehicle to pass therethrough. CONSTITUTION:When a rotor 18 is rotated together with a crank shaft 16, a current is generated and flows through a stator coil 20. Heat generated by the current is transferred to a stator coil fitting base 24. Air introdeced from a front opening 32 of the vehicle flows backward along an air passage 34, and flows out of a rear opening 32 of the vehicle. Then, by the running air circulated through the air passage 34. the stator coil fitting base 24 is cooled.
