PURPOSE:To automatically display and confirm the time of an opposite country at any time, by using a country number and time difference response memory device which stores a time difference with a country shown as a country number used in an international direct distance dialing, and a telephone set with a time indicator possible to display a time and date. CONSTITUTION:When a user off-hooks a telephone set 1 with a time indicator and dials the specific number and the country number of the opposite country of the international direct distance dialing, a central controller 3 detects and retrieves it. And if the country number which coincides with the number exists, the controller takes out the time difference corresponding to the country number. Furthermore, the controller takes out the values of a present date and a present time from a timepiece device 4, and finds the present date and time of the opposite country of the international direct distance dialing designated by the user by adding taken out time differences, and issues instruction to display those to the telephone set 1 with the time indicator. Thereby, the date and the time at a present time of the opposite country of the international direct distance dialing designated by the user are displayed on the time indicator of the telephone set 1 with the time indicator.
