Summary:PURPOSE:To perform an exact correction and to obtain a color difference signal without a deterioration by demodulating a color signal, obtained by using a motion corrected signal, into two number of the color difference signals, and performing the correction to meet the quantity of the motion separately and respectively. CONSTITUTION:The composite video signal of a terminal 1 is delayed by one frame period by a frame memory FM2. The delayed signal and the present signal are inputted to a motion detection circuit 3, and the quantity of the motion is detected by using the absolute value, etc., of the low frequency band component and the high frequency band component of the composite video signal. A motion correction circuit 4 performs the motion correction of the signal of a former frame in accordance with the quantity of the motion, detected by the circuit 3, and a subtracter 5 subtracts the motion- corrected signal of the former frame from the signal of the present frame. One of the signals of the present frame is inputted to a two dimensional luminance signal, color signal separation circuit 6, and separated into a luminance signal and the color signal. An HPF 8 fetches only the high frequency band component, and inputs it to a color demodulation correction circuit 9, which demodulates and corrects it accord ing to the output of the circuit 3.
