PURPOSE:To stabilize the control of the first line hydraulic pressure by including a proportional control action term for causing the agreement of a steady-state deviation to a target deviation, and other control action terms for making the steady-state deviation into a second target deviation larger than said target deviation, respectively in a control equation for controlling a pressure regulation valve. CONSTITUTION:A first line hydraulic pressure Pl1 to be regulated with a first pressure regulation valve 48 is determined by the control equation I where kp and Ti are constants, epsilonp is a first target deviation, epsiloni is a second target deviation and epsilonp is smaller than epsiloni. This control equation I contains a proportional control action term for independently causing the steady-state deviation of speed ratio control to agree to a first target deviation epsilonp, and an integral control action term for independently making said steady-state deviation into a second target deviation epsiloni larger than the first target deviation epsilonp. Consequently, the control of the first line hydraulic pressure Pl1 is stabilized.
