Summary: | PURPOSE:To increase the efficiency to recover sensible heat from combustion exhaust gas, by providing a primary heat exchanging device on the discharge side of combustion gas of a radiating pipe, by providing a secondary heat exchanging device in the combustion exhaust passage of a primary heat exchanging device, and by installing a heat exchanging means made of permeable solid at least in one of the heat exchanging flow passages of heat exchanging devices. CONSTITUTION:Combustion gas 'a' flows through a radiating pipe 3, heated and gets temperature heightened, getting into a primary heat exchanging device 10. Combustion exhaust gas 'a'' passes around the outer periphery of an outer pipe 6a, passing theough each heat exchanging means 9 made of permeable solid, and is discharged to an exhaust gas passage 10a. At that time the heat is exchanged efficiently by convection by heating an outer pipe 6a, a spacer 8, and each heat exchanging means 9, and the combustion exhaust gas 'a'' is supplied to a burner via an inner pipe 6b. The combustion exhaust gas 'a'' passes through the exhaust gas passage 10a, led into the exhaust gas pipe 21 of a secondary heat exchanging device 20, flowing around the outer periphery of each outer pipe 23, and is discharged from a gas outlet port 21a. While combustion air 'b', flowing down through each inner pipe 26 from an upper header 22a, exchanges heat with the combustion exhaust gas 'a'' by heat transfer by convection during rising through the spiral passage formed by spacers 25, becoming a preheated hot air, supplied to the primary heat exchanging device 10, and is heated up to high temperature by being heat-exchanged again. |
