Summary: | PURPOSE:To measure the stepping margin of a pedal by a device which is easily set by making both ends of a V-shaped link which is spread by a spring abut on the pedal and a car body and detecting the pressing force of the spring when the pedal is stepped. CONSTITUTION:A lock frame 5 is supported 6 pivotally on the upper end of the link 3, a seat plate 7 is supported 8 pivotally on the upper end of the link 4, and the lower ends of the links 3 and 4 are supported 9 pivotally. A tongue- shaped sitting part 12 is extended from the lower end of the link 3, the spring 11 which energizes the links 3 and 4 in spreading directions is provided through the sitting part 12 and pivot 9, and a pressure sensor 14 is provided to the sitting part 12. A lock frame 5 is engaged with the vehicle pedal 2, the seat plate 7 is positioned on the floor raised part of the car body 1 (so that the display of a display device is zero), and the pedal 12 is stepped. Then the links 3 and 4 slant against the spring 11 so that their spread angle decreases, and the pressing force of the spring 11 which operates on the sensor 14 increases in constant relation with the stepping quantity. For the purpose, the relation between the stepping quantity and the output of the sensor 14 is found previously and then the stepping margin of the pedal 2 is measured and displayed. |
