Summary:PURPOSE:To satisfactoriy ensure the effect of estimated control by using a calculated proportion/integration control constant to give the proportion/ integration control to the estimated value toward the target value. CONSTITUTION:An identifying signal generating part 11 produces an identifying signal (w) containing a connective exciting signal. An adder 12 side 12 adds the signal (w) to the output signal of proportion/integration control arithmetic part 8. An estimated characteristic identifying part 13 uses the manipulated variable (u) and the estimated controlled variable (y), i.e., the outputs of the adder 12 as inputs and identifies the parameter of a numerical formula model that prescribes the dynamic characteristics of the controlled variable (y). An optimization processing part 14 uses the parameter of said numerical formula model obtained by identification of parameter as an input and calculates KP (proportion control constant) and KI (integration control constant) respectively. These control constants KP and KI are supplied to the part 8. Thus it is possible to always give the estimated control to a process with the optimum control constants in response to variance of the process characteristics.
