PURPOSE:To quickly grasp the occurring situation of abnormality in a communication system and to ensure the proper recovery of the abnormality in a short period, by transmitting immediately the prescribed error information to a specific time division multiplex communication device when a time division multiplex communicaton device has the abnormality within the system. CONSTITUTION:A communication working monitor control part 3f is provided to the time division multiplex communication devices 30 end 30' respectively. The specific device 30' contains a display part 5 and a picture output control part 3g. If the device 30 has the working abnormality during communication, this abnormality is detected by the part 3f and the error information is produced. A communication control part 30e sends a control frame where said error information is put into a control channel CH1 to the device 30' via a fast circuit 4 in place of a transmission frame for transmission data. The device 30' receives the control frame via the circuit 4 and sends the error information of the CH1 to a communication control part 30'e via the part 3f. The part 30'e supplies the error information to the part 3g to perform to monitor display of this error information on a display device 5.
