Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a dental curable composition for sustained release capable of preventing diseases such as tooth decay, pyorrhea alveolaris, etc., for a long period, having improved safety, containing a (meth)acrylate monomer, a polymerization initiator and a germicidal crude drug as active ingredients. CONSTITUTION:A (meth)acrylate monomer (e.g. methyl acrylate) containing at least one (meth)acryloyloxyl group in one molecule is blended with a polymerization initiator (e.g. dibenzoyl peroxide) and a germicidal crude drug component (e.g. flavanone). 100pts.wt. monomer is blended with 0.01-15pts.wt. polymerization initiator and 0.01-50pts.wt. crude drug component and pharmaceutically manufactured by a conventional procedure to give the aimed substance. Polymerization is carried out at 0-50 deg.C to cure the composition when a radical initiator is used as the polymerization initiator, polymerization in done by light irradiation and the composition can be cured when a photopolymerization initiator is used.
