Summary: | PURPOSE:To reduce the operator load in a correction mode by retrieving the character positions corresponding to a KANA (Japanese syllaraby) character string from an optional character position of a KANJI (Chinese character)- KANA character string and converting again the character string into another KANJI-KANA character string having different dividing positions. CONSTITUTION:A KANA character string 'saihenkanshori' is supplied from a keyboard 1 and then converted into KANJI 'SAIHENKANSHORI' when the conversion is instructed..While an operator sets a cursor 20 under 'HEN' (KANJI) of a paragraph 'SAIHEN' (KANJI) having a wring paragraph dividing position by means of a cursor key and gives and instruction for reconversion. Thus a controller 6 uses the Japanese reading 'sai' of the paragraph as a key to start a KANA/KANJI converting part 3 and obtains the corresponding character 'SAI' (KANJI). Then the reconversion is given to the remaining character string 'henkanshori' (KANA). Thus the reconversion processing is possible with a character string. In this case, it is not needed for the operator to convert again the entire character string into KANA character string for correction of a KANJI-KANA character string. This reduces the correcting load of the operator. |
