Summary:PURPOSE:To reduce the number of belt driving systems and aim at reduction in manufacturing cost or the like by installing a timing belt driving system connecting an interval between a water pump and a crankshaft and a belt driving system connecting an interval between accessory parts and the crankshaft parallely in this ourder. CONSTITUTION:An engine is provided with two sets of cylinder rows where cylinders S are disposed three by three in series, and each of banks L and R housing these cylinder rows is coupled together in a V-shaped form at the specified banking angle. In this case, a pair of cam shafts 9 and 10 are projected out of the belt opposed wall 8 formed at the one end side of a V-root part 3, and a timing belt is rolled on these shafts together with a water pump 13, forming a driving system C. In addition, both first and second belt driving systems D and E are parallely installed in this belt opposed wall 8 in this order in addition to the driving system C. That is to way, the driving system D drives a power steering pump 19 and an alternator 22 while the driving system E drives a cooler compressor 26 or the like by belt each to a crankshaft 1.
