Summary:PURPOSE:To continuously purify rolling oil in large quantities and to backwash the iron powder collected on a filter by injecting steam onto the filter to backwash the filter while pulling out the filter from the filtration part having the magnetic filter to the backwashing part. CONSTITUTION:A straightening plate 6 is provided at the upper part of the filtration part 5 and the rolling oil supplied from a pipeline A is uniformly dropped on the filter. Platy permanent magnets 7 are arranged at the lower part and magnetic particles are collected by a ferromagnetic body when the rolling oil passes through the inside of a container case 8. When the catch of the magnetic particles of the filter is saturated, the filter is slowly pulled out into the backwashing part by an air cylinder 11, and steam is simultaneously injected from a backwashing nozzle 10. Accordingly, the iron powder and oil deposited on the ferromagnetic body are removed and the rolling oil is purified since the container case 8 consists of multiple stages.
