Summary:PURPOSE:To prevent oil from being scattered by sealing bearings with a magnetic fluid and cutting off the oil leaking from upper and lower bearings during the rotor rotation via a shaft seal. CONSTITUTION:An upper bearing 10 and a lower bearing 12 are contained in housing respectively, gaps between insides of bearing housings 32, 34 and a shaft 16 are shaft-sealed by a magnetic fluid 36, and spaces between a polygon mirror 18 and upper and lower bearings 10, 12 are completely cut off. Therefore, the oil leaking from the upper bearing 10 and lower bearing 12 caused by the rotation of a rotor 14 can be completely prevented from being scattered.
