Summary:PURPOSE:To need no insulation transmission and miniaturize a device, by transmitting output voltage detection signal to a control circuit through windings arranged on a power converting transformer, while the switching element of a switching power circuit is OFF. CONSTITUTION:The output voltage Ein of a DC power source 1 is interrupted by a switching transistor 3, and is fed to the first winding 21 of a power converting transformer 2. The pulse-like output of the second winding 22 is rectified 41 and smoothed 43, 44, and DC voltage V0 for output is generated. When the switching element 3 is turned OFF, then fly-back voltage is generated on windings 21-26 by exciting energy stored at the transformer 2 during ON- time. The peak value E12 of the voltage E26 of a winding 26 linked to a winding 25 is detected by the diode 111 and the condenser 112 of a peak hold circuit 11, and is transmitted to a control circuit 5. A driving power source is obtained by a diode 9 and a condenser 92 through the winding 23 of the control circuit 5. As a result, an insulation circuit between the first and second windings is not needed, and circuits are miniaturized and simplified.
