NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (Y is CH or N; R1 is lower alkyl or carboxy-substituted lower alkyl; R2 is lower alkyl) and its salt. EXAMPLE:7beta-[ (Z)-2-( 2-aminothiazol-4-yl )-2-methoximinoacetamido ]-3-[4-carba moyl-1-methyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridinio]methyl-3-c-ep-hem-4- carboxylate of formula II. USE:Antibacterial agent. PREPARATION:The objective compound can be produced by reacting (A) the compound of formula III (X is halogen), its derivative having protective groups protecting the functional groups of the compound or their salt with (B) the compound of formula IV or its salt and, if necessary, eliminating the protective groups.
